Preserve24, which opens today on the Lower East Side, is not only an amazing new restaurant and bar. When you're here, you're inside a large art-installation and the headquarters of an expedition and preserve-ation society. The instillation will be completed in 2014 with a 2,000 pound block of ice from the Basal Ice sheet in Greenland after a group from the ICE Project complete their expedition there.
Both the up-cycled architecture and food & beverage programs focus on the environment, so expect to consume farm-to-table cuisine and cocktails using farm-fresh ingredients. Grab a drink and a bite in the cafe and bar on the first level or descend to the cozy main dining room and pub below. Try the Dead Reckoning with Banana, Mezcal, and more or the Golden Hind with Death’s Door Gin, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, Lime Juice, and a Cardamom-Turmeric Syrup.
Head to Preserve24 to stimulate your senses and experience something never been seen before and expected to live on for decades to come!
